Solid Composite Vs. WPC Encapsulation & Hollow PVC
Wood Composite Plastic (WPC)
WPC based composite products have LOW water-resistance due to an encapsulation method. And with high wood content and large wood particle sizes within the product, when WPC encapsulated products are cut, the wood particles are exposed to climate conditions and will absorb water if submerged or exposed to rain for an extended period of time.
Vinyl (PVC)
Most vinyl (PVC) fence panels are hollow, which has advantages in cost savings and being lightweight. However, hollow vinyl fence panels and posts have disadvantages such as weak construction, being easy to break or chipped, and it has low impact resistance.
Batech composite products are solid, with the same material throughout the entire product; there is no encapsulating or surface coating. This product provides high water resistance properties and has the ability to customize designs like traditional wood.
Unlike hollow PVC vinyl products, the solid composite provides a strong structure. Resistant to extreme high winds (shear-off) and has impact resistance to rock chips and weed eaters.
